Why were Vive Wear Compression Socks Invented?

Dr. Marcus Duda has been actively treating and researching the foot and ankle for over 20 years. That interest led him to develop new solutions for treatment and prevention for his patients.

In both his clinical research and practice he recognized that there is a single factor that significantly increases the success of leg and foot care.

Can patients consistently and comfortably live with the treatment?

Compression systems are the de facto solution for many kinds of lower limb wounds and conditions, including edema and venous stasis ulcers, but many of them are impractical, difficult to use, made of irritating materials or generally uncomfortable.

Consistent use also determines whether the course of treatment is effective in the long run.

Dr. Duda knew there was another way, so he invented Vive Wear

His designs are:

What are the results of Vive Wear compression socks?

The results, in both clinical and patient trials, with consistent and constant use, have been startling:

Compression Socks Made for Revolutionary Comfort

Alpaca

Nano-Silver Plates

Nano-silver plates are engineered into specific triangular shapes to provide optimal antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and micro-current properties. The nano-silver plates are fabricated to standards for medical devices. The nano-silver plates are permanently bonded to the merino wool and alpaca. Independent studies have demonstrated that the silver will not leach out of the sock even after repeated machine washings.

Nano-Copper

Nano-copper fiber is composed of a permanently bound nano-copper to a matrix of nylon fibers.  The properties of the nano-copper combined in a patented design with the nano-silver plates creates a galvanic cell that generates a micro-current in the sock.

PTFE Nylon

PTFE coated nylon is used to reinforce the high abrasion areas of the heel and foot to reduce friction and increase the durability of the sock.  By minimizing friction, PTFE reduces the chance of skin blisters and protects the wool and alpaca from wear. The unique design of the sock places the nylon with PTFE on the outside of the high wear areas of the sock and places the alpaca and merino wool against the skin for maximum comfort.
